Mothers day!

Heeeeey guys, and happy Mother’s day!

Today i was (unfortunately) at my dad’s, and that suck pretty much because it was Mother’s day. So i couldn’t like, bring her flower and cuddle her or cook dinner OR ANYTHING, so i felt super bad for her being alone. BUT BUT BUT… I decided to bake some cookies for her yay. I know her favorite cookies are, just like mine, chocolate chip cookies, so i baked some very yummy and very delicious cookie. There is a link for the recipe below the picture.Image

I found this great recipe on americanheritagecooking.com, which i can highly recommend by the way.

I doubled  the recipe, and the only thing i changed was that a used a mix between dark chocolate, and milk chocolate. And that turned out perfect.

Anyways, my mother enjoyed the cookies ALOT when i came this evening, and we ate some of them together at it was super cozy. I hope you enjoyed your mother’s day with you amazing moms. GO MOMS yay!

x Hazel.

It’s been a great day today.

Hey everyone!

It was a super great day for me today. I spent most of the time with my two best girls, and the weather was so awesome. And I actually bought a few things, but i won’t be able to show them to you, until monday. (They’re at my mom’s place, I’m at my dad’s).

This weeks saturday quote is from on of my favorite books, The Fault in Our Stars (The book i reviewed yesterday):

”Oh i wouldn’t mind, Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you”

Monthly book review

Good morning guys!

And welcome to my first monthly book review. As you can probably tell by the title and the sentence that i just wrote, I’m going to do a book review once a month (Maybe twice or more). It’s not a secret that I have a special love for books, and i adore both reading and writing.

SO, today I’m going to talk about the best selling novel by (my favorite author) John Green, The Fault in Our Stars.

Image

The book is about a 17 years old girl named Hazel (What a coincidence) Grace Lancaster who has terminal cancer. She is attempting some support group, kind of forced by her mom, where she meets the love of her life, Augustus Waters, a former cancer patient as well. They have a really special, and sometimes a little bit awkward connection and attraction to each other. Hazel and Augustus love each other unconditionally, and they will do anything for each other. That would maybe sound kind of corny, but both Hazel and Augustus are such strong individuals, and they so strong-willed it almost hurts. We are introduced to a lot of great characters, e.g. Isaac who is both Hazel’s, but also Augustus’ best friend, and he is actually the reason why Hazel and Augustus met in the first place. The readers follow a story about two young peoples love blossoming into the greatest love story in a very long time, in my opinion. I absolutely loved the book, and it’s already one of my favorites, planted firmly on my night stand where I’m re-reading it for the seventh time. John Green is one of my favorite writers, I’m amazed by his writing skills. The book is filled with humor, intelligence, bravery and love, but also teary and heartbreaking moment, and you will definitely have a giant hole in your heart when you are finish reading this life-affirming book.
